WEST is a volunteer Search & Rescue
crew based at the
Lancaster General Health Campus in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
We serve all of Pennsylvania as well as Delaware, Maryland, New
Jersey, New York, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia. We respond
to emergency calls ranging from lost and missing persons, rock
climbing rescues, to wildfire suppression. We conduct these, and
other services in any environment, terrain, and weather
condition ... twenty-four hours a day ... every day. |

information about our Hug-A-Tree program. Geared for children
yet useful for adults, this interactive presentation is full of
information for child and parent alike. |

All of our emergency and professional
services are free to the public. We rely on fund raisers,
grants, donations, and contributions in order to provide the
best search and rescue services, skills, and equipment to the
community. The Wilderness Emergency Strike Team is a 501(c)(3),
